Team point of view

”Pattern for Progress” proposes a growth model rather than a static image for the future. Because creation of value depends on people, different groups are stimulated to have input on the area.
The plan proposes a balance between defining the necessities as access and safety, and creating freedom for the future inhabitants to shape their environment. It defines and stimulates the suitable kind of development for each part of the site. Core of the plan are the large halls in the centre of the area, which are divided into plots with only demands for the permeability of light and traffic. Quality of the environment is assured by matrices that define the desirability of certain functions and the allowed building volume. These are related to how the public and area benefit from the development.
