The project clarifiesthe urban shape by creating a huge ground treament and two complementary squares, which unify the whole centre of the city and harmonize the spaces. new spots to discover are offered to strollers and improve the urban pattern.
As the historical centre became a big pedestrian area, it can be filled with programmatical interventions, which are surgically distributed. Two major topics increase Aigle's attractivity: the Wine Research and Learning Centre and the Fontainesfestival. As the urban intervention unifies, the historical centre becomes a real stage where cultural events can take place. The Aigle space and identity is offered to the stalker. The cultural patrimony and local identity act as a reliable support of the city blossom.
