1. How do you define the main issue of your project in relation with the theme “Living Cities Imagining architecture taking care of the milieus”? And in which way do you think your project can contribute to an ecological and/or social evolution?
The main issue is the underutilization of the Kurviertel in Borkum and the lack of integration between nature and the city. The project promotes ecological development through dune restoration and the use of local building materials by reusing construction components. Socially, it contributes to diversity and community through new public facilities, making the space more appealing to residents and visitors.

2. How did the issues of your design and the questions raised by the site mutation meet?
The design issues encompassed underutilization, lack of connections, and ecological challenges in the Kurviertel. The site relocation addressed spatial planning, nature integration, and improved utilization. It also involved dune restoration and new spaces for social interaction.

PROJECT:

3. Have you treated these issues previously? What were the reference projects that inspired yours?
We haven't addressed the problem yet, nor have reference projects inspired our project.

SITE:

4. How can your project be implemented together with the actors through a negotiated process and in time. How did you consider this issue in your project?
Primarily through workshops involving Borkum's residents, the project can be fine-tuned and tailored to address the actual needs of everyone involved.

5. How did you form the team for the competition and if so what are the skills you associated?
We've known each other for a while and have been wanting to collaborate on a project together.

6. How could this prize help you in your professional career?
Europan has been the starting point for many offices; let's see what the future holds.
