Reviving Zagreb’s Riverbanks with openact.studio

Carlos & Zuhal’s winning proposal for Europan 13 transformed the Sava River in Zagreb into a vibrant, adaptable space. Instead of controlling the river, they embraced nature’s flow, creating a permanently-temporary urban park that changes with the seasons and local needs.

The pavilion program evolves with time, giving the riverfront a dynamic and flexible identity. A true example of how cities can coexist with nature.
